100% Guaranteed Hunt for Free Ranging Animals

ONLY $5800 for BOTH Animals

Chamoi first arrived in New Zealand in 1907 from Austria while Tahr are originally from the Himalayan Mountains of Asia and were liberated to New Zealand in 1904.

Tahr hunts are best carried out between mid-April and mid-August. Tahr bulls begin to move into the nanny groups at the end of May and will stay with these groups until the end of August.

Tahr hunting can be very physically challenging experience, which takes the hunter high into the snow and ice of New Zealand's rugged alpine country. However with the right hunting guide, this can become a hugely satisfying and successful challenge, with a magnificent trophy as the ultimate prize. In addition, with helicopter access now possible, this exhilarating experience can now be made available to hunters of all levels of physical fitness.

Tahr and Chamoi are supremely adapted to the alpine terrain of New Zealand, which now has the only feral Tahr herd outside of the Himalaya. Bull Tahr are a much sought after game animal by overseas hunters, no doubt because many world class trophies are taken here.

You possibly will see some of the best scenery in the world in the areas we hunt these animals.

We can tailor an Adventure of a Lifetime during your visit to New Zealand. Additional hunting, fishing, and scenic adventures that can be arranged are provided below. Contact us today for more info.

Merriam turkey are spread out in spots all over New Zealand. They have no predators and will multiply quite fast. Toms will get over 20lbs plus.

There are no seasons or limits. The best strutting times are from mid July - mid November. It's not uncommon to shoot 3 toms a day.

30lbs - 7 Beards

Paradise ducks are a great set of ducks to have mounted. They mate for life and are very common. They are grazing birds so we are not hunting over water all the time. The seasons are May 6th - August 27th, March 3rd - March 25th

Expediting
All your hides and antlers/horns are labelled upon arrival at our taxidermist's workshop using a waterproof label system.

Hides are salted twice and fully dried before they are crated and leave the workshop.

All skulls are boiled and cleaned.

Birds skins are sent wet salted and must be unpacked and processed immediately.

Freight, clearance, customs and delivery on forwarding costs from Port of Entry are payable at your end.

Delays at airport may occur. It is essential that crates be unpacked immediately on arrival. I recommend that the crate be sent directly from our taxidermist's workshop to your taxidermist or tanner and they can unpack and look after the hides as required.
