Self Guided New Mexico Elk Hunt These elk hunts occur on public land in Northern New Mexico. Licenses are by draw and I had a 100% draw by use of the outfitter number. Kiowa Hunting will aide you in putting in for the license and due all of the paperwork for you. You can apply by using the internet and all you do is front $6.00 on a credit card. Last year we had a 90% opportunity on archery and rifle hunters. Cost of the hunt is $1200, if you have four hunters, for a self guided hunt and includes a cook and all meals and accommodations, retrieval of the elk for all hunters, and trophy preparation of the elk. This is a quality hunt for the budget conscious hunter. Hunt dates have not been set by the Game commission yet. No payment is due till you draw a license. Then 50% is due 30 days after drawing and the balance due upon arriving for the hunt. Other trips: We also offer this hunt as a 2x1 and 1x1 fully guided hunt.
