BUFFALO BULL: THE TROPHY OF A LIFETIME
The bison is the largest land mammal to roam North America since the ice age, and was last hunted on our ranch by native American Indians over 170 years ago. The buffalo disappeared almost 2 centuries ago, but has returned, and is healthier and bigger than ever. This animal can weigh up to 2000 lbs, and measures up to 6 feet at the shoulder, and from nose to rump, up to 10 feet! You will be hunting mature bulls.
This is a one day hunt where you will spot and stalk your beast in the same manner as the Indians did centuries ago. You can hunt with rifle, pistol, bow, or spear. If you are unsuccessful in taking your trophy the first day, you can add up to 2 more days at no additional cost, until you have harvested your bull.
Meals and lodging are not provided on the ranch.
Bison tastes great! Most people interviewed feel Bison is the most flavorful meat they have ever tasted, with a sweeter and richer flavor than beef. Bison is naturally flavorful and tender and can be prepared much the same as beef.
VALUE Bison falls into the gourmet or specialty meat category at your supermarket or meat market. The value of Bison is not what you pay, but what you get in return. Nutritionally you are getting more protein and nutrients with fewer calories and less fat. Bison is a dense meat that tends to satisfy you more while eating less.
After you buffalo hunt, you can add a ram hunt or a Big Mean Wild Texas Hog Hunt for only $299, via buy-it-now!
Texas has more wild hogs than any other state. It is common to see as many as 100 hogs during your hunt! You can hunt our big, mean, wild Texas hogs with bow, rifle, shotgun, pistol, or knife depending on what you are hunting for. Our ranch hand will clean your kill for only $30, or you can do it yourself. Mounts can be done locally and shipped to you in less than sixty days.
Explore all or part of 9 miles of deep creek bottoms and find out where the big hogs are hiding. You can go back in the evening with a portable blind and wait for the big one to come your way.
It's not just hogs at our ranch! The ranch has fur-bearing animals including rabbit, possum, racoon, gopher, armadillo, coyote, fox, bobcat, and ringtail cat. Exotic animals from around the world have been imported to our ranch. Our herds include Axis Deer, Fallow Deer, Scimitar-Horned Oryx, Red Deer, Blackbuck, Exotic Rams, Rocky Mountain Elk, and Whitetail Deer, just to name a few. Native animals can only be hunted when in season.
Kill a piglet and we will cook it over the campfire for you and your group. You've never tasted anything so so good in your entire life! Wild suckling piglet roasted over a mesquite campfire, stuffed with Texas wild rice, whole hog link sausage, homegrown mushrooms, maybe a quail or two, and a few other secret ingredients! Our hogs will give you the best wild hog sausage you have ever tasted! The meat can be processed locally and overnighted to your home.
Not Included in your weekend hunt package are transportation to and from the ranch, you hunting license, and gratuity for your guide. The cost of a 5 day, non-resident license for buffalo, hogs, varmints, rams and exotics is $45, and can be bought from Texas Parks and wildlife over the phone.
