Offering the best accommodations available to hunters in
the area, the authentic log buildings include a main lodge with two separate
rooms - one room with two double beds, the other with one double bed and one
single. There is one cabin with two bedrooms, each with a two single
beds. This cabin also has a pull-out bed in the sitting area, plus washroom
facilities with towels. A second cabin has two bedrooms, each with a
double bed and a set of bunk beds. This cabin also has a kitchenette, sitting
area, and washroom facility with towels. Excellent home cooked meals
included in the package are served in the warm and friendly atmosphere of
the main dining area at the lodge. Lunches are packed each day for taking
with you into the field.
The lodge is located in prime Whitetail deer country, ideal for bow and
rifle hunting. Riding Mountain National Park has had a no-hunting policy
since 1929 and game moves freely back and forth between the park and the
outfitters land. In addition, 99% of our allotted hunting area has had no
hunting on it for 25 years.
Manitoba has a three week hunting season for rifle, and six weeks for bow.
Whitetail bucks in Manitoba frequently exceed 300 pounds and 85% of big bucks
presently die of old age. The owners of the operations have lived in
the area their entire lives and have personally taken numerous trophy Whitetails.
Hunters are placed in tree stands or heated hutches and have a guide for every
two hunters. Our guides are very experienced and willing to share a wealth
of information about deer movements and locations.
