Happy Landing Lodge is located in Northwestern Ontatio, Canada. We are located just 35 air miles north of Fort Franes, Ontario on The Pipestone/Yoke Lake Portage. You can get to our remote first class american plan lodge by either flying on a float plane with Rusty Meyers Air Service or We can pick you up at our landing and transport you on a scenic 26 mile boat ride that takes about 35 minutes.
Happy Landing offers 13 fish filled lakes to choose from. Many of the lakes are only minutes from the Main Lodge. You can fish the same lake everyday or like many of our guests you can venture to a new lake everyday.
We offer fishing for Walleye, Smallmouth, Muskie, Lake Trout, Northern, and Largemouth Bass. Each lake has its particular strong species, every lake offers 3-4 different types of game fish.
Pipestone Lake: Monster Muskie, Lake Trout, Smallmouth till your arms fall off, Big Walleye, and Northern Pike.
Yoke Lake: Big Walleye along with great numbers, Medium size Muskie, Very Good Smallmouth Bass, Some Largemouth, Lake Trout, and Northern Pike.
Straw Lake: Great numbers lake for walleye, good smallmouth, and northern pike.
Sucan Lake: Great numbers lake for walleye, good smallmouth, and northern pike.
Tommy Lake: Great numbers for 2-4lb. walleye and some northern.
Sullivan Lake: Good chance for a trophy Northern pike, good lake trout, and also largemouth.
Bartley Lake: Trophy Northern Pike, good Lake trout, and largemouth.
West Lake: Largemouth
Bluffpoint: Good Lake trout and Largemouth Bass
Helena: Trophy Lake Trout and Northern Pike.
Bungie Lake: Good largemouth and some northern Pike.
Shistose Lake: Trophy Muskie, Great Smallmouth, Big Walleye, northern and lake trout.
Bear Lake: Walleye and Northern.
We practice catch and release, except the small fish you choose to eat for your shorelunch. We have capacity of 38 people, but we limit this number to 24 to ensure you a quality trip for you and your friends. We have been asked to take more or just squeeze in another group, but we choose not to. Over Crowding you would take away from this true wilderness canadian fishing experiance. We take pride in the quality of trip that we offer.
Equipment:
On our two main lake Pipestone and Yoke Lake, we fish out of New 17'6" Lund Outfitters Powered by 50hp Honda four stroke motors. These boats come equipped with Flat floors, pedestal seats, raised casting decks, live wells, bait wells, and graphs in each boat. On our our out lakes you will find 14' lunds with 6-15 hp. motors.
Our Lodge hosts the dining room, our lounge, a pool table, and a magnificent 800 sq' deck, where you can enjoy a cocktail and watch the sun go down.
Our Cabins are fully modern: We have six cabins that can sleep anywhere from 2-10 people, each cabin has seperate bedrooms that sleep two people to a room, each cabin has two full bathrooms, they all have nice living room areas, decks on the front of them, and they all have air conditioning for those hot summer nights. We are very remote, but you have all the amenities that you would at home.
Our trips are offered for 3,4,5,6 and 7 nights, We pick up and deliver just about everyday Whatever fits you schedule fits ours, please book a trip for whatevery dates fit your needs. Remember this is your vacation!
